BLAST FROM THE PAST!

My sister sent this to me that she found on her camera......
oh the cute little munchkins they were....before the chiclet teeth! Of course this was probably taken right before a brawling match between the two...oh the innocence of a picture!

Better late than never....right?! At least it's before Thanksgiving!

This is the first year that Crew would keep a costume on...exciting times

Cade was a little bummed that the "ride" was not that exciting....."this sure isn't like Disneyland"......keep in mind as they rode off, his hands were up in the air like he was on a roller coaster

The Halloween get along gang at the ward party

These came in a little blurry.....but you get the picture

We might have traumatized our children with our costumes this year.....but it's all in good fun!.......... There's always therapy....I was just about ready to post this when I noticed the temple picture in the background....hmmmm are there any rules about cross dressing?!

RATED PG-13 FOR VIOLENCE:
I had to shake my head when I came back from grocery shopping to find
this "setup" that Paul made

I'm pretty sure Cade was kinda into this...just guessing

Further evidence of why I will never be Mother of the Year.....
Whenever I download my pictures I will find pics and videos that the kids have "constructed"

Long Overdo....Happy September Birthdays to Clayton and Caden!

Of course there was probably a cuter picture of the boys, but why put that one on when there's this fabulous "morning" photo

Bounce U exhaustion

Paul always takes it too far
Who wouldn't want to take one of these kids home?!....precious....each one!

My sweet Aunt Sue and Uncle Dan invited us to their place in Rocky Point.....

Forget Disneyland, I'm pretty sure the beach is the happiest place on earth!

First off, we have Pancho Villo here holding a stingray.....gotta love the $6 glasses...HOT!

The kids were ready to hit the ocean for some fishing...in the back is their cousin Kai

I'd like to say I did the fading around the pic on purpose for "effect", but no it's my crappy camera....this was Cole and Kenna's favorite spot...the quad

Here's Pancho again doing what he does best....manual labor

You can't deny the smiles....that's if you can make them out through the fogginess of the picture....they were real I tell ya!

Wednesday, October 7, 2009

Since I haven't taken any pics lately, I'll show you some treasures that the kids like to take pics of.....

They just had to download this pic because it was so cool....I heard about it for days!

So this is one of the Halo guys situated on the "camouflage bedspread" for
added effect..awesome

Yes, those are his Sunday shoes...he's always up for gettin fancy

LET FREEDOM RING (until 2:15 at least)......Almost...Crew and I are still bosom buddies for a few years, but how can I complain when he's as cute as he is! :)

The weekend before school started, we headed to Pinetop for a family reunion....a very good time!
Here's Cade with his fabulous cousin Blayke!

That would be Paul and Cade......this is a picture of what he'll look like driving in the future when he's 85 (Cade that is)

Crew just loved sweet little Navy.....always saying, "Mom, I need to hold the baby now!"

Okay so this video cracks me up for so many reasons....hear are a few......
1) Do I really sound like that? Ugh!
2) Am I always that bossy?
3) Really Crew.....fingers?! Let's be done....it's killing me!

Random summerness:

The boys are hoping their "cruise ship" will be published in the Lego magazine.....yeah the boys fight over that magazine as soon as it arrives!

In the first video, Clay wanted to demonstrate his "skilz" and the 2nd one is the epitome of what happens when they swim.......crap everywhere in the pool (not literal crap, but you know what I mean), Copper barking cause he thinks he should be a part of it, and Crew doing whatever the other boys are doing.....so basically random crazy things!

This past weekend we went up to Greer to my sis in laws cabin and most of the Miller side were present and accounted for........Of course when I left on Monday, Cole and Clay had to stay with their second mom Aunt Erin for a few more days....they love it there!

Crew and Cade being Crew and Cade
We went "Crawdog" fishing (that's how it is said in Crew language) and it was actually fun....despite the fact that the crawdads look like a combination of scorpions and cockroaches
2 of my most hated creatures
No words need to be said about the beauty that is this pic....but I thought I would put some evidence of me actually being there.......
Photo courtesy of Caden...hey at least my heads not cut off
Never mind the stepford wives smiles Cole and Cade are donning.......they were having a fabulous time......promise :)
Yep, here's Crew spreading his vast knowledge of finger sucking to his cousin Bryce
good job Crew...you're awesome
As per requested by my sis Jami

For the 4th last weekend, we went to Tucson and stayed in a hotel........

So when we finally pulled our heads out, Paul started using his phone for pics

This is the Ostrich farm we found on the way back from Tucson.....so we stopped and hung out

Clay was loving these birds

The boys were having a contest to see who could get the most to land on them......I think it was me that won....they all flocked to me...:)  Just call me the bird lady...when I'm sixty, I'll be the lady down on Main St. with bird poop on her shoulder!

We loved feeding these cute little deer....the ostrich on the other hand....one word.....
Psychotic!
I had one come at my head.....what is it with me and animals?!

Me hanging out with my jackasses....oh and the kids

HAPPY SUMMER TO ALL:...........

The fun just never ends!

I don't know who's idea it was to put all their ties, belts and every pair of underwear they own on, but it's what's known as "gettin fancy"....according to Caden
Crew came out all 'dressed' up and said...."Look at me mom....I'm fancy pants!"

In June, Clay was in a play with his cousin Mac......yes, I did say Clay.....And hell has definitely not frozen over

I told Crew to get in the bath one night and he came right up next to my face (cause I was on my knees getting the water going) and he said "Yes Sir"and saluted me....so I made him repeat it for me on this video

O.k. so I thought I'd post this funny conversation I had with my 6 year old yesterday so I wouldn't forget.......

CADE:  "Mom, I don't want to get married and have kids"
Me:  (thinking...."Oh crap have I traumatized him that much?)......"Why Cade?"
CADE:  "Because I don't think I'm going to find a girl to marry.....what if I don't, Mom?  What will I do then?"
Me:  "Cade, you're a cute kid, you'll find a girl"
CADE:  "Yeah, but dad found you at school and there might not be a girl at school for me"
Me:  "Let's not worry just yet.....Mom and Dad will find you a girl if you can't  :)"
CADE:  "Alright"

It was Cole's 11th birthday yesterday! His Grandma Harper took him shopping and for some lunch and then we went as a family to Big Surf for the afternoon.....when we got back his grandma and grandpa Miller brought him over a gift and his sweet Aunt Tammy made him a delicious cake......all in all a good day!  When I was tucking him in he said "Mom, it was a really great day!"  If only every day could be this great....

side note:  disregard the scary face Clay is making...he always tries to get in the pic.....I don't know where he gets that from...:)...Aunt Jami?!It's a tradition now to decorate their rooms for birthdays....in the morning they always tell me they knew I was in there room decorating because they were awake....yeah right....not many people can snore and also be awake :)

Cole is moving on to 11 Year old scouts.  But he's sure going to miss his fabulous Webelos leaders Norma and Peggy...they were absolutely great!
Before school ended Crew and I went and saw Clay's skit he did at school...Crew thought he was living big going into his classroom and sitting on the big chairs!

RANDOM PHOTOS:

See if you can pick him up out of the crowd...that kid cracks me up

Here's the crew that came to hear Cole at his violin concert
I'm not sure who these people are :) but they were standing next to Cole, so I snapped a shot anyway
IT'S SWIMMIMG TIME:  EVERYDAY!?!  By the way, they have been swimmimg since mid April...crazy yes!
sidenote:  I'm not sure I would have chosen this particular name for the life jacket
I know major snuggy right?!  But at least it's better than his last "life jacket" with the built in blue spandex shorts....he's just excited to be out with the boys!

Friday, May 8, 2009

The kids had a 70's dress up day at school and this is what they came up with......

Of course Crew had to have a shirt too

We had family night with the Miller fam at the park.......there's nothing better than a little kickball...

A little brotherly love action......yeah my camera is sad...or maybe it's the operator
Crew and his cute cousin buddy Sammy....."she's my friend"

Saturday, April 25, 2009

I told the boys that I'm pretty sure I wanted to retire here or buried here....which would probably be cheaper
we're trying our basket weaving skills....mine were pretty null and void

We took Cole and Clay with us and the other cuties stayed with my sisters, this is a pic Jami took at the ballgame with them.......Cade's got his game face on
I'm not sure what I'm doing with the stance, the hair....not sure, but it's a pic in the sub nonetheless.....pretty crazy what these men lived in for months at a time

Here the boys and I are learning a Fiji dance.....notice the boys in the background...poor boys got my love for the stage....

Friday, April 3, 2009

It's been a bloggity long time since my last post....it was Pinewood Derby time again..Paul's favorite :)  But to everyone's surprise Cole took 1st place and Clay took 3rd.......let's just say the Miller cars aren't known for their speed!  So it was a heck of a time!

Will Ferrell Bud Light Commercial - Hilarious Super Bowl Ad

If you are easily offended...look away! :)
P.s. Does the outfit look familiar?! The inspiration for our Christmas card!

It's a kite flying day:  the easiest family night ever
There was the occasional "oops the kite is caught on the roof" scenarios, but all in all good times!
Yes, it was cold and no, Clay thought he didn't need a jacket... Mr. tough guy

"Paul, I'm pretty sure we got the kites for the kids.."  he was like a kid in a candy store.
Crew thought he was pretty awesome....of course this was taken just moments before an "oops I can't hold on any longer, and crap it's on the roof again" moment :)
P.s.  Yes, those are tire marks in the backyard where Paul was doing brodies in the yard....what an example!

To my dismay, this is 1 of 3 outfits that Crew will wear......I try to hide them, but he sniffs them out somehow

Monday, February 9, 2009

These pics are a few months old but who cares

Monday, February 2, 2009

Paul's sending this pic into Baywatch for a possible "running on the beach" scene.....it's still playing in Japan....right?! :)

Here's the "the dork in the box" pic.  There was this compartment right by the door inside the room to get your room service........so what should we do with it...."let's see if we can fit in it."........Mission accomplished......he was stuck .....so I left him and went to get a massage....:)

WHO NEEDS BRACES?!

Saturday, January 24, 2009

It's nice to know that things still keep rolling even when we're gone........

Aunt Jami loves her some kisses......I don't think Cade minded at all!
I couldn't hear the music....but I'm sure it was absolutely beautiful!.......
Side note:  One of the first pictures we took of these two was Crew biting and kissing Blayke's neck....future Edward?!.....maybe
My lovely and "crazy" sister took the boys to Skateland while we were gone....love ya Kara!!

Mama Mia.....yes, that's my mom with a black eye....this picture doesn't do it justice

MAKE A WISH......he's probably wishing for more blankets :)
that boy loves him some blankets!

Wednesday, January 7, 2009

o.k., so when Clay first started gymnastics we ordered his uniform and he got the girl leotard instead of the boy's......so, I was cleansing the kid's clothes, and Crew found it and wanted to put it on.....and it begins.....I'm pretty sure we've ruined his chances to hold a political office,.......

Look at those bi's and tri's.....grrrr!

TA-DA
I added this picture cause I want you to notice that Clay's wearing my slippers......
but I have to say that they are cozy   :)
And Last but no Least...
All I can say is WoW, he's definitely ready for his broadway debut
(the funny thing is as I was posting this, I was listening to Dancing Queen from ABBA........and yes, my boys were dancing)

Tuesday, December 30, 2008

If anyone needs a fabulous idea for an eagle scout project look no further.  To the right in the video bar, you can view what two "ingenious" boys did for theirs!!  :)

Tuesday, December 23, 2008

My parents had a Christmas party on Saturday full of crafts, a pinata (there was a near fatality involving my dad and brother, so we might not do that again), delicious food, Santa, and of course the fabulous nativity (I'm pretty sure it took longer to dress and satisfy all the children's needs on their costumes then the actual acting out of the "nativity").....GOOD TIMES! ......Thanks mom and dad it was super fun!!I'm not sure what's up with the lighting of my camera, but this pic had to go in because the "animals" of the show were cracking me up.

Crew was supposed to be Joseph, but he was dead set on holding Frankencense, so there you have it.......(we must choose our battles)
He was definitely into the whole (Santa) thing.  "Santa brings treats, I like Santa!"

Cole played Jingle Bells for us

Friday, December 12, 2008

Tuesday was Cole's violin concert.......

My sweet parents came to see him at his first concert

At first, when he said he wanted to do violin I was skeptical.......but who can deny a face like that?!

WARNING:  PHOTO OVERLOAD ALERT!

A wrap up of our trip to the Andersen cabin...good times!

I had to put this photo in to show how absolutely awesome I looked in my "snow"pants....is that that the Michelen Man?......  I think I was more scared than Crew to go down that hill!
UNO anyone?!

There just wasn't any pics with him smiling with all his garb on...go figure!  But you look so cute Crew....just enjoy it!
That snowman up above is Cade's creation.....oh our little artist....:)

Yes.....I was THAT serious about the puzzle!

Cool Cats
I love these sweet babies!
Ready Aim and FIRE!
Ready Set and GO......the funniest was watching them race and dog pile...so hilarious.....there was another kid in the race...and nobody knew who he was...it cracked me up

Thursday, November 27, 2008

Our sweet little Crew has learned too much from the "outside" world.......
while I was taking the picture he said, "I'm gonna kick your butt mama!"....yeah he thought he was funny.....  Oh the sweet sentiments our children say......

One little monkey in the tree

I'm pretty sure we can't just take a normal "shot"
This photo is dedicated to Olan Mills.....where we got our inspiration!
They cooked up the fish they caught at a local restaurant.....Yummy!

*****Side Note:  I'm still not brave enough to blog the karaoke shananigans!****

This was Halloween '06
I'm not sure what I was thinking with my outfit...I'm pulling the crazy card....

Wednesday, November 5, 2008

My camera wasn't on the right mode, so the outside pic is crappy, but you get the gist of our Halloween effects

If you're wondering where Crew is.....he wanted nothing to do with a costume or trick or treating.....I believe that's him in the above pic.....crying
why fight it.......
We are now living with our very own Frankenstein.
Saturday, when Paul and I went out, the kids were playing tag in the house.
And, of course, Clay ran into the wall!
It took 3 guys to hold him down and a lot of screaming to put 7 staples in his head....
Traumatized much?!
When Paul and Clay were walking out, Clay thanked the doctor...well he kindof grunted a thank you, and the doc almost passed out
It took him 2 days to smile about it and let me take the picture.  Gross huh?

Thursday, October 16, 2008

I'm pretty sure this pic was taken right before Cole rammed into our car......
Cole says, "Why did you park the car there?"
classic defensive comment
we can laugh now
Needless to say, we had a talk on responsibility
I guess I can't talk cause I think I remember hitting a tree in my dad's truck.....dad gotta love that patience
Clay ready to hit the road....this is serious business you know!
LET'S RIDE!
Now don't smile Paul.....excellent
that's a wrap

We had a birthday party for both Clay and Cade on Saturday
Since it's not pictured, Cade wanted me to put in an honorable mention of the "monkey cake" that his sweet Aunt Tammy made for the 'Sunday Celebration' at my mom's..... :)
he thought it was the coolest!!

videoI should've known this is what was going through Paul's mind when he brought home the painter's plastic!  A slip-n-slide....DUH....of course why didn't I think of that?!

Tuesday, September 2, 2008

This was last weeks adventures:

Cole, Emma, and Clay

This is how I found Crew watching T.V.......yet another reason that I'm such an A class mom....it was quiet for awhile until I finally decided to go find him....

Monday, July 14, 2008

People have asked me what we've been "doing" this summer, and I'd like to say swimteam, arts and crafts, music lessons, or even workshops, but no.......it's been the summer of The Lego Starwars videogame.  And yes, I should feel ashamed of that, but surprisingly, no, I'm fine with that!  Yes, there will be no one handing me "mother of the summer", but hey no loss....I never figured I'd be in the running anyway!  Let the good times roll!

I'm finally posting our Fourth of July family fun gathering......I'm so on top of things.  We got together at my brother's house for a fabulous time in their pool, a bar-b-que (of course) and some fireworks....courtesy of my brother Ryan.  I can't say too much about how beautiful and spectacular they were, but they were Loud!  During and after Crew kept saying "Holy Cow Mom...firecracks!"  It was hard to look at him without laughing!  Thanks for a great time Harper's!

Monday, June 23, 2008

On the 7th we flew into Virginia....first time we've ever flown with the kids....wow that was super fun!  Let's just say Crew knew his juice and every treat was "tainted", so the good stuff didn't take effect until a 1/2 hour before we landed.....so let's just say I was a little more sneaky for the trip home.  We stayed in a major ghetto motel I pricelined.....so not what was pictured on the net.  The older boys were like "where's the beach?" and Cade said, "is this the beach house?" and I said, "no" and he's like, "whew!"  That kid cracks me up.

The next day we drove to North Carolina to the Outer Banks in our "suburban" that I so called reserved.  I guess the car renters assumed a suburban is the same as a jeep.  Crew was holding down the fort in the back seat completely surrounded by luggage.  I told him to hold up the luggage and he said, "Okay mom" with this puzzled look on his face.
Once we got to the beach house, Paul's sister Erin and her family met us there.  They had gone to Washington D.C. to sightsee and visit Gene and Judie who are on their mission there.   Gene and Judie followed them back from D.C., so they could hang out with us for a few days.
We had a great time....minus the heat wave of utter humidity for the first 2 days, but then a storm came through during the night...lightning was hitting the sand in front of the house....so cool....and then it cooled off.  The water was warm and didn't have all the seaweed that the Pacific has.  We couldn't get the kids out of the water.....except Crew....he spent all day running in and out so the water wouldn't get him.  Hey, whatever keeps 'em busy!
It's been about 10 years since I've been in the ocean swimming, and I actually got in and boogie boarded (well attempted).  The only time we ventured off to do something was to go see some lighthouses and the day we left we went to the naval base in Virginia.  The ships were really sweet minus the lame tour.
All in all it was a fabulous time....great company and great scenery!
